In the following agreement “the application” is used to refer to the Brunel University Connect Assistant and “Internet-based services” is used to refer to any supporting part of the application that resides remotely. This End User Licence Agreement (EULA) is an agreement between you and Brunel University which regulates your use of the Brunel University Connect Assistant that accompanies this EULA; it incorporates the regulation of your use of internet-based services.
I agree that
- Brunel University may install such files, protocols, cookies and like entities as will ensure that the application may be used only in accordance with this EULA and the Privacy Policy of the application.
- Brunel University may undertake, at any point of registration or re-registration for the service (or subsequent usage of the application), such checks and searches as may be deemed necessary to ensure that your computer is and remains compliant with the Connect service terms of use and security requirements. User intervention may be required to change any non-compliant settings in order to allow the application session to continue.
- Brunel University may, within the provisions of relevant legislation and the Privacy Policy of the application, collect and store such data as may be necessary for support purposes and to ensure the successful registration of your device(s) for the Connect services.
- I will not copy, delete or modify in any way any file or setting placed upon any device for the purposes of operation and management of the application, except when I no longer require access to the Brunel University Connect services with this computer, at which point I will uninstall the application using the applications entry in 'Add/Remove Programs' (XP) or 'Programs and Features' (Vista/7/8).
- Brunel University is not liable for any loss or damage that I might incur for any reason whatsoever (including, but not limited to, loss or damage to information) through the use or attempted use of the application.
- Brunel University reserves all rights not expressly granted to me by this EULA. The application (including each Internet-based system incorporated therein or attached thereto) is protected by copyright laws. Brunel University owns copyright and other intellectual property rights in the application.
Please note the Connect Assistant will automatically update itself if a new version of the application becomes available (this normally occurs at least once a year).
