AnyConnect VPN on Mac Devices
Please note that your device must first be registered before you can use AnyConnect VPN
Setting Up Cisco Secure (previously AnyConnect) VPN on Mac OS X
- Download the Cisco Secure (previously AnyConnect) VPN Client software by clicking the link under these instructions.
- Run the setup program. Click Continue.
- When asked what to install, untick everything except VPN, then click Continue again. Then click Install.
- When finished, click on Close.
Connecting to Cisco Secure (previously AnyConnect) VPN on Mac OS X
- In your Mac’s Applications folder, go into the Cisco folder then choose the icon shown.
- The AnyConnect window should appear. The white box will normally be blank the first time you run the program. Type in anyconnect.brunel.ac.uk into it and click Connect (If it already says Staff or Student then leave it as it is.)
- Type in your Brunel Network username (<<Login for this information>>) and password, then click OK
- Click to Accept the terms and conditions of the VPN service. You will then get a message saying that you are connected. The AnyConnect window will minimise to the dock and its icon will show a little padlock on it to show that it's connected.
Disconnecting from Cisco Secure (previously AnyConnect) VPN on Mac OS X
- Click on the little icon with the padlock and this will bring up the AnyConnect window. Click Disconnect.
