Changing your Brunel Network Account Password

There are several ways to change your Brunel Network Account password; you may use any of the following methods:
  • Log in to a Brunel centrally managed computer; press the ctrl + alt + del keys together and select Change a password...

  • Go to http://www.brunel.ac.uk/password
    • This requires you to enter your username as <<Login for this information>>@brunel.ac.uk
    • Note for Staff: This option only works if you are registered within CHIME and have a valid personal email address entered within your CHIME record.

  • Go to http://www.brunel.ac.uk/webmail and select Options in the top right then Change your password...
Note: Do not click links in a message such as this: always open a new browser and type in the address yourself.

Once you have changed your password, you need to update some or all of the following (depending on which of our services you use) on each of your devices:
  1. Forget or remove the Wifi@Brunel network profile
  2. Reconnect to Wifi@Brunel and enter your username (in your case <<Login for this information>>) and new password
  3. Disconnect any shared drives/printers you have mapped on your laptop (e.g. H: Drive & G: Drive)
  4. Remap your shared drives/printers using your username (in your case <<Login for this information>>\<<Login for this information>>) and new password
  5. Update the passwords stored in your web browser by over-typing any stored passwords
  6. Update the passwords stored in your e-mail software/settings
  7. Forget and reconnect any eduroam network profiles
