Important Steps When Changing Your Password

When you have changed your Brunel Network Account password you must do the following on personally owned devices:

Affects personally owned laptop and desktop computers
Affects personally owned smart phones and PDAs
   
Update any passwords stored in your web-browser
  If you have set up your web browser to store any passwords please ensure you update them by re-typing the password when logging in to each Brunel website.
 
Disconnect and reconnect any network drives
  Please ensure you disconnect all your Brunel network drives and then reconnect them following the instructions provided by the Connect To wizard.

 
Disconnect and reconnect any network printers
  Please ensure you disconnect all Brunel network printers (e.g. Self Service Printers) and then reconnect them following the instructions provided by the Connect To wizard.

 
Update your wireless configuration
You will need to "forget" or remove the Wifi@Brunel connections, and then re-connect. In some cases you may need to refer to the instructions provided by the Connect To wizard
 
Warning
  Failure to complete this step on all devices may cause your account to be locked out continuously.
   
Update your email configuration
Please ensure you update your password on any personally owned devices running Microsoft Outlook or any smart phones connected to the Brunel email service.

When your Brunel Network Account password expires you will be locked out of all Brunel services that use the Network Account such as:

  • Wifi@Brunel
  • AnyConnect VPN
  • The Connect Portal
  • The Brunel intranet, sharepoint, intrabrunel, and blackboard learn
  • Any network drives or printers you have mapped

You will need to change your password by:

  • Logging in to a Brunel (domain) computer
    or
  • Logging in to Brunel Webmail
